Joann E. McClaran, 98, of Shreve, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Wooster Community Hospital.Joann was born in Spencer, OH on May 29, 1927, to the late William Harrison and Lillian Lucille (Eaken) Chapman. She was a graduate of Wooster High School. On Sept 25, 1949, she married the love of her life Doyle “Hank” W. McClaran. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2007. They had been married for 57 years at the time of his passing.She was an exceptional bookkeeper and was employed by the former Sprang Moreland Chevrolet Dealership, Leedy Brothers Hardware, and by the Wayne County National Bank, all in Shreve.Joann was very active in the Shreve community that she loved.
