Franklin “Dale” Gavlak, 80, of Nashville passed away peacefully Monday, June 29, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, just days short of Judy’s passing on July 2, 2025.Dale was born in Cleveland on Sept. 1, 1945, to the late Franklin and Mildred (Walters) Gavlak. He honorably served his country in the Army from 1965 – 1967 in Korea as an MP. On July 29, 1970, he married Judy Yendriga née Stewart. She preceded him in death last year; having been married for 55 years.Dale was an excellent mechanic; he had worked for McClure Motors in Loudonville and retired from UPS as a mechanic. He was true “garage guy” not only is that how he made his living, but he loved fixing old cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He also enjoyed riding his bikes. Dale had a great sense of humor always able to lift up spirits and lighten the mood.…
