She was born on August 23 1934 in Altizer WV to the late Harley and Ullainee Mace Starcher. Darlene was a resident of Barberton for 24 years previously of Doylestown since 1960. A homemaker most of her life she had in her earlier years worked at Babcock and Wilcox Co. Barberton Ohio and at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico as well as White Sands Missile Base New Mexico while her husband Frank was stationed there. A member of the former Doylestown Church of the Nazarene she loved to spend time gardening artistic painting Coat of Arms word search puzzles and reading and was a sports enthusiast specifically football and baseball. A life resident and graduate of Dalton High School Ruth retired from the Dalton Local Schools after 20 years of service in the cafeteria. Ruth was a member of the Dalton Presbyterian Church the Dalton Community Historical Society and was an avid supporter of the American Red Cross blood drives having donated over 20 gallons of blood throughout the years. She enjoyed taking a good walk gardening doing a good crossword puzzle spending time with her family at various gatherings and creating braided rugs. She was born in Dalton to the late David and Grace Hofacre Douglas and was a life resident. Growing up on the family farm she loved to bale hay milk the cows and help her mother in the garden. Participating in the boys and girls 4H club for ten years Clarabel was a 1954 graduate of Dalton High School where she loved representing her school and her community. Clarabel was the first football queen had been head majorette her senior year and was a member of the 1954 1955 Dalton all girl Marching Band. Retiring from Buckeye Nutrition after 48 years of service she had been a corporate secretary a liaison between outside sales and manufacturing and was also a purchasing agent for requesting raw materials. Bruce A. Nussbaum 77 of Dalton passed away peacefully on August 3 2026 after a courageous fiveyear battle with cancer. Anyone who knew Bruce knew he was the definition of a fighter. He faced every challenge with remarkable strength determination and an unwavering positive outlook. Bruce was born on July 6 1949 in Massillon Ohio to the late Eldon J. and Mary M. Groff Nussbaum. A lifelong Dalton resident he graduated from Dalton High School in 1967. Bruce proudly served his country as a medic in the U.S. Army Reserve before beginning a career at Wenger Excavating where he dedicated 41 years of service including the last 19 years as a supervisor and foreman. Smucker Co. after 39 years of service and had a love for horses and going trail riding. Tom loved to collect antiques and always looked forward to having Wednesday lunch with his buddies.
