William T. Wood 82 of Beaverton Oregon passed away on March 13th 2026. Bill was born in Portland Oregon on August 30 1943. He is survived by his wife Teresa and his son Shawn Wood. He is also survived by his beloved granddaughters Lucia and Francesca Wood his sister Diana Poorman and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Will H. Wood and Dorothy D. Taylor Wood and his brother Joseph F. Wood. He graduated from Grant High School and went on to Oregon State University receiving both a bachelors and masters degree. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and served as House Manager during his junior year at OSU. He was employed by the Multnomah County Sheriffs Office holding the position of Commander of Inmate Programs where he received numerous awards for initiating progressive correctional programs.
