He was born on April 28 1935 in Creighton to the late Lloyd and Emily Mattern Schreckengost. Richard was a proud graduate of the East DeerFrazer High School Class of 1953. Following high school he faithfully served his country in the United States Army in Korea from 1954 to 1956. Richard was employed for many years with Jones Motor Trucking Company and later retired from Preston Trucking in 1996.
