She was born April 211941 in Latrobe PA the daughter of Henry J. and Helen Sikora Danilowicz. JoAnn grew up in the small PA coal mining towns of White Station and Moween. She was a 1959 graduate of Saltsburg High School where she played basketball as a guard throughout her sophomore to senior years. She was a member of the G.A.A. Girls Athletic Association and served as secretary in her sophomore year. JoAnn and her girlfriends enjoyed going to local dances the movie theater and the bowling alley in Saltsburg. Helen was born on July 20 1931 in the Kinloch section of Lower Burrell a beloved daughter of the late Gabriel and Sophie Sakmar Cendra. She was the devoted wife of Lawrence E. Craig who was killed in a mining accident in 1987. Following this loss Helen exemplified strength resilience and independence throughout the remainder of her life. Harry J. Shaeffer of Florida formerly of Kittanning died May 7 2026. He was born in Armstrong County to Michael R. Sr. and Ada Householder Shaeffer and was twin brother to Michael R. Shaeffer Jr. He graduated from Ford City High School in 1971. Upon graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Returning from the Navy he gained employment at the Mushroom Mines in Worthington. He retired after 25 years of dedicated service. His love of cooking instilled in him to opening his own restaurant and operated on Route 66 at Kiddieland which was owned by his Aunt Pat Staley.
