Oral Kenneth Jock Shaffer Jr. 91 formerly of Leechburg passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Sunday June 28 2026. A son of the late Oral Kenneth Shaffer Sr. and June Young Shaffer Miller he was born October 25 1934 in Beech Bottom WV. Oral was a 1952 graduate of Leechburg Area High School and of the Episcopalian faith. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC from 19571959. For over 44 years Oral worked as a bundler leader for Allegheny Ludlum Steel in West Leechburg and Bagdad before retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union 1138. He enjoyed fishing traveling especially beach vacations with his family working in his yard playing cards reading and being a Pittsburgh sports fan.
