John "Jack" Porter age 70 of Independence Township was received into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on March 28 2026 at UPMC Mercy Hospital with his loving family by his side. Jack was a 1974 graduate of Moon High School a 1976 graduate of Robert Morris University and a 1977 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He faithfully served his community as a licensed funeral director for over 50 years including 23 years at Darroch Funeral Home and 29 years at the John Syka Funeral Home. He is survived by his loving son John J.J. Porter Gabriella Muoio his aunt and uncle Ed and Marie Kohar of Baden his stepson Brian KathyHans of Georgetown and his dear friends Tony Blum Carolyn Dunne Valerie Tilson and Michelle Pietrzak. Emilio “Emmy” D’Antonio, 97, of Center Township, passed away Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford, surrounded by the love of his family.Born on Palm Sunday, April 1, 1928, in West Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Carmen and Cristina D’Antonio.Emmy was a 1946 Graduate of Aliquippa High School and a proud US Navy veteran. He worked as an electrician in the “Line and Wire” gang at LTV Steel, was a prior Center Township Zoning officer, and served on many Center Township boards and committees.As a devout Catholic, Emmy was a lifelong, faithful, and active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Center Township, and a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Confraternity of Mt. Carmel, and St. Anthony Congregation. He had a special devotion to St. Joseph, his “best buddy”, who never let him down.Emmy valued his faith and family…
