Victor D. Vic Slagle 73 of Emporium PA formerly of DuBois passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday night May 14 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born November 29 1952 in Alexandria Virginia a son of the late Ossroe J. and Laura J. Bowser Slagle. On March 5 1977 in Emporium he married Lori Nellis Slagle who survives. Together they shared over 49 years of love devotion and cherished memories. Vic enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family especially his children grandchildren and greatgrandchildren who brought him immense joy throughout his life. He will be remembered for his love of family quiet strength and the special moments shared with those he loved most. In addition to his loving wife Lori he is survived by two daughters Trisha M. James L. Meatball Deetscreek 70 of Sinnamahoning PA passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday morning May 14 2026 following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born May 10 1956 in Nanty Glo Cambria County PA a son of Alice Little Deetscreek of Nanty Glo and the late Earnest Deetscreek. On October 22 1983 in the Sinnamahoning United Methodist Church Jim married Tina Peters who survives. He was a graduate of Central Cambria High School. He moved to Cameron County and spent many years working as a logger before his retirement. He truly enjoyed going to work each day and spending his time in the woods doing what he loved. He was a member of the Emporium Country Club and was an avid golfer who treasured the many rounds he played with close friends.
