Joanne Weis Gerg 89 of Emporium PA passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon August 8 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 21 1936 in St. Marys PA daughter of the late Leander "Lee" and Marian Ryan Weis. Joanne is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Gerg. High school sweethearts Joanne and Kenneth were married on August 22 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Marys sharing nearly 67 years of marriage. Joanne was a graduate of St. Marys Central Catholic High School. For many years Joanne was a valued and dedicated employee of Speer Carbon Company. She was deeply committed to her community and took great pride in serving the families of Cameron County. She was a member of the Cameron County School Board and served as its president giving many years of her time and leadership to the education and wellbeing of local children.…

Susan C. Lyon 77 of Gardeau passed away peacefully at Guy Mary Felt Manor in Emporium on Tuesday evening August 4 2026 following a brief illness. Born on January 3 1949 in St. Marys she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Connor Swartwood. On June 15 1968 in the First United Methodist Church in Emporium she married Paul Lyon who survives. Susan was a graduate of Cameron County High School. She was employed for a short time at Sylvania before beginning a career in housekeeping at Guy Mary Felt Manor where she worked faithfully for many years. A devoted wife mother grandmother and faithful servant of her community Susan embraced the life of a farmers wife with grace dedication and unwavering love for her family. She found great joy in supporting the family farm and creating a warm and welcoming home where family gatherings and treasured memories…
