William F. Bonson Jr. formerly of Spring Mills passed away Monday August 10 2026 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was 76. Born February 22 1950 in Reedsville Bill was a son of the late William F. Bonson Sr. and Hazel L. Warner. He was a 1968 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. Bill is survived by four siblings Carol Bonson of VA Charles Bonson and Lisa Bonson both of Spring Mills and Timothy Bonson Patti of Coburn. Also surviving is his nephew Clinton T. Bonson of San Antonio TX and his children Emma H. Bonson and Corbin M. Bonson two nieces Rachael Schu of Lemont and Brenda Kassab Jim of Boalsburg and their children Josey Kassab and Pearl Kassab and a great nephew Trace E. Bonson son of the late Tyler E. Joyce A. Warrick formerly of Centre Hall passed away Wednesday August 5 2026 at Centre Care. She was 97. Born February 9 1929 in Pleasant Gap Joyce was the daughter of the late Leroy H. and Bella L. Dunklebarger Sampsel. She was married to Grover Warrick who preceded her in death in 1983. Joyce is survived by one daughter Susan Bryant of Holiday Florida one sister Nancy Miller of Butler Pennsylvania two granddaughters Erika Wilkins and Leanne Stibbard Jason both of Florida and two great grandsons Ethan Wilkins and Sheldon Stibbard. In addition to her parents and husband Joyce was preceded in death by two siblings Margaret McClenahan and Leroy Sampsel Jr. Joyce was employed 17 years as a bookkeeper for the former Kinney Shoes. She had also worked part time in the finance office at Penn State. Joyce was an independent woman and lived alone until she was 96.…

John E. "Jim" Strouse Jr. of Spring Mills passed away Saturday August 8 2026 at Wynwood House in Boalsburg. He was 83. Born November 20 1942 in Lock Haven Jim was the son of the late John E. Strouse Sr and Margaret Romig. On July 15 1978 he married Helen Flick who preceded him in death. Jim was employed as a construction laborer at the State College Borough Water Authority retiring with 30 years of service. After retirement he went to work for PA DCNR at the Penn Nursery at Potters Mills. Jim proudly served our country for many years in the National Guard. Jim was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed fishing camping with Helen attending Grange Fair and the Nittany Antique Machinery show at Penns Cave with his grandson Wyatt with whom he enjoyed spending quality time with.
