Charles Charlie Carter 85 of West Chester PA passed away Tuesday October 6 2026 at the Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook PA. Charlie was the beloved husband of the late Geraldine Gerri Carter with whom he shared 54 years of devoted marriage. Born on December 13 1940 in West Chester PA he was the son of the late Joseph J. Carter and Anna Laffey Carter. Charlie grew up in West Chester and graduated from West Chester Henderson High School Class of 1958 where he was known for his exceptional math skills. Charlie spent most of his career as an overtheroad truck driver. He began with Chemical Lehman tank lines and later drove for Mrs. Smith Pie Company delivering pies nationwide for several decades.
