Vera K. Thompson84 of Knox known lovingly as Kaypassed into eternity onMarch 27 2026. She was born in Big Run on March 18 1942. The eldest daughter of the late AnnaSmith Becker and Clifford Becker. On June 17 1960 she married her childhood sweetheart James L. Thompson. Together they raised five children. As her family grew Kay followed her calling into nursing serving her community for more than 40 years at Franklin Hospital through Clarion VNA and in privateduty care offering comfort skill and kindness to the many she servedthroughout her career. She enjoyed her hobbies of quilting crochet caring for her animals and spending time in her flower garden. He worked at various jobs including construction and painting. He is survived by two children Dennis J. Harriger and his companion Yvonne Buzzard of New Bethlehem and Bethany Blizzard and her husband Steven of Jamestown New York a granddaughter Braelynn Blizzard and a brother Terry L. Harriger and his wife LuAnn of New Bethlehem. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Patty L. Troup and Marty J. King. Jesse M. Blest age 79 of Oil City passed away at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Monday morning March 30 2026 following a period of declining health. Born September 9 1946 in Oil City he was a son of the late George Blest and Flora Knight Blest. He was a graduate of Cranberry High School. Jesse was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army and was of the protestant faith. Survivors include his sisterinlaw Joyce Lorraine Blest of Oil City two nieces Tammy McLaughlin of South Carolina and Debbie Cope of Oil City nephew Jesse Blest of Ohio and numerous great nieces and nephews.
