Esther Elaine Ott, a true lady, made the flight to her heavenly home early afternoon on Friday, May 15, 2026 while at home.She was an only child born to the late James Paul and Virginia Ruth Kurtz Baldwin on May 2, 1934 in New Castle, PA. Instrumental in her up-bringing were her beloved Aunt Frieda and Uncle Charles Brinton. The five of them would navigate the shadow of the Great Depression; her father leaving the family farm in New Castle for work opportunity in the Pittsburgh area at what became United States Steel. Pooling resources and living all together afforded young Esty plenty of attention from the four loving adults who cared for her. She was given opportunity to study piano and developed a passion for music, which continued to grow throughout her lifetime.Esty was a graduate of Clairton High School in 1952.
