James R. Jacobson 78 of Houtzdale passed away Sunday August 2 2026 surrounded by family at Complete Care at Hagerstown Hagerstown MD. Born August 41947 in Philipsburg he was the son of the late Walter and Marie Showers Jacobson. After graduating from Moshannon Valley High School in 1965 he attended Bucks County Community College where he received his Associate Art degree in Physical Education and received his bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from Temple University. He was a former Chaplin and member of the Houtzdale American Legion and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. Along with his wife Jim is survived by two sons Eric Jacobson of Cleveland OH and Christopher Stephanie Jacobson of Houtzdale. Born May 13 1974 in Martinsburg WV she was a daughter of the late Roy L Brannon Jr. and Donna J. Harmison of Martinsburg WV. She was a member of the Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose Houtzdale American Legion Social Club Janesville V.F.W. and the Women of the Clearfield Cycle Club. She loved to travel cherished time with family and friends and enjoyed rides on their Harley. She enjoyed every minute spent with her dogs to her they were like members of the family. She was born in DuBois PA on September 26 1966 daughter of the late William and Anna Cataldi Herzing. Although physically and mentally disabled since birth Anna lived as full of life as possible. She was always surrounded by those that cared for her and looked after her daily needs. Anna was born a child of God and is now returning to him that same way.
