Robert Burns Pete Smeltz Jr. passed away on May 10 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville Pennsylvania. Pete was born on October 3 1952 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania the son of Robert Burns Smeltz Sr. and Betty Jane Smeltz ne Shartzer. He graduated from John Harris High School class of 1970 and went on to attend Harrisburg Area Community College. Pete worked at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 35 years most notably as Maintenance Manager for Clinton County. He served two terms as Clinton County Commission Chairman. Pete is the former president of the Sugar Valley Lions Club and SEDACOG Natural Gas Cooperative Board. He was a board member of the Salvation Army Lock Haven Corps. William "Bill" Aurand

William Frankilin Aurand 93 of Beech Creek was welcomed into the arms of his loving Savior on Sunday May 17 2026. Born December 19 1932 in Northumberland Bill was a son of the late Sylvester and Esther Brouse Aurand. On April 1 1956 he married his love the former Kathryn Bechdel with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Bill was employed at Piper Aircraft until its closing. He was worked for Haven Homes and finally Lowes. He was a longtime dedicated member of Blanchard Church of Christ serving as both a Deacon and Elder. Bill was an active volunteer with their Food Pantry sang in the choir and stepped in to help wherever needed. In his younger years he volunteered with the Beech CreekBlanchard Fire Company even housing the ambulance in his garage. Born August 6 1960 in Chambersburg he was a son of the late William E. Zimmerman Sr. and Cecelia Hrimnak Zimmerman. By trade Bill was a mechanic having worked at various locations including Masortis Auto Repair. Bill was also a member of Central Pennsylvania Street Machines and enjoyed attending their car shows where he proudly displayed the restoration work he had done on his 73 Camaro. Surviving is his daughter Serita Lynn III Hakin of Lock Haven and grandchildren Lydia Quiggle Braxton Marconi and Lynn Hakin IV. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter Tiffany R. Zimmerman and brothers John M. Zimmerman and Lynn D. Rote. A service will be held on Friday May 22 2026 at 11 AM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc. 231 High St. Flemington. Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery Lock Haven.

Doris L. "Dode" Weaver 64 of Lock Haven passed away Thursday May 14 2026 surrounded by family at her home. Born May 10 1962 she was a daughter of the late John T. Yarrison Sr. and Martha S. Boob Yarrison. She was the manager of Promax Auto Parts Williamsport where her dedication made a huge impact on the success of the business. She leaves behind her fianc Bronson Elliott of Lock Haven daughters Nicholl Weaver Amber Jenkins of Selinsgrove and Melinda Weaver of Lock Haven grandchildren Makynleigh Weaver and Braylon Spurlin numerous brothers sisters nieces and nephews and close friends.
