John Pete Rathmell 88 Born in Central Pennsylvania the son of John Rathmell Sr. and Madaline Crider Rathmell passed away peacefully on August 14th 2026 leaving behind a legacy of military service conservation Pennsylvania Game Commission law enforcement education and devotion to family. Pete was a proud United States Air Force Cold War veteran Strategic Air Command aircrew member serving his country for three and onehalf years beginning in 1958. The values discipline leadership and practical skills he acquired during his military service became the foundation for a lifetime of service to his community his profession and his family. As a proud veteran he was also a steadfast advocate for his fellow servicemen and women never forgetting the bonds formed through military service. Barbara A. Bastian 90 of Jersey Shore passed away on Wednesday August 5 2026 at Edenbrook North Skilled Nursing Home in Williamsport. Born on June 6 1936 she was the daughter of the late James E. and Fannie M. McClintic Donovan. On December 20th 2015 she married Charles K. Bastian who survives. Barbara was a 1954 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Following graduation she worked as a secretary for Paul Mack Insurance Agency and Piper Aircraft. She then went to work for Torsell Agency and retired in 1998. She was a member of Saint Agnes Holy Spirit Parish Church and had been a member of Women of the Moose in Lock Haven.
