It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of RichardDick Rich Cherwinski a beloved husband father grandfather and friend on July 4 2026 peacefully at his home after a courageous battle of Parkinsons disease. He was 91 years old. Born on June 11 1935 in the Bronx of New York Richard was the cherished son of Adam and Genevieve Danilowicz Cherwinski. From the young age of 14 he would take over the family farming business following his fatherssudden death. Prior to that he attended Slabtown schools in Catawissa until beginning his industrious farming career that spanned over 70 years. Starting with chickens cows pigs fruit orchards and ending his career with Christmas tree farming in 2015.
