A graduate of Mechanicsburg High School in 1972 Sandy excelled in sports throughout school and continued playing softball into adulthood. In 1973 Sandys lifelong friends Maggie Deihl Deb Ellerman Chris Hyman Jo Darhower and Elk Ellerman introduced her to the love of her life Richard Negley. They married in April 1974 and later that year they welcomed their only child Robert John. Bob and his family were the light of Sandys soul. Through the years Sandys kitchen table at Negleys Ranch welcomed and fed hundreds of hungry hunters family and friends. She never failed to offer meals comfort and kindness.
