Born in Huntingdon PA on November 14 1939 a daughter of the late Glenn and Dorothea Hennessey Black. On June 71959 in Winchester Va. she was united in marriage to her loving husband George Horton who preceded her in death in 2022. She is survived by a son Ronald D. Horton and companion Tracie a daughter Janet E. Hoover and companion Craig grandsons Ronald C. Horton husband of Courtney and Colt M. Hoover greatgrandchildren Kameron Karlee Laney Kolbie and Lexie. Also surviving are siblings Marian Mykut Daryl G. Black and Roy L. Black. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson Colby Horton. She spent 35 years shaping young minds and hearts as an elementary school teacher in the districts of Southern Huntington Huntingdon and Tussey Mountain deeply impacting countless students through her passion for teaching and genuine love of children.
