Joseph W. LaVan 67 of Home passed away on Monday August 10 2026 at UPMC Shadyside after a yearlong battle with cancer. Joe was a farmer who also worked at Rayne Township and drove milk truck. He enjoyed farming collecting toy tractors especially Allis Chalmers traveling to toy shows and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Barbara Griffith his children Kathy DeChristopher Joe York R.J. Zimmerman and husband Jason Shaler three grandchildren Zachary D. Fairman Samatha N. Fairman Joshua D. Fred Doverspike passed away peacefully to enter the place his Lord Jesus Christ prepared for him August 4 2026. He was born December 17 1939 to C.Reed Doverspike and Mabel Shaffer Doverspike. Fred graduated from Harmony High School. After graduation he worked on farms a car repair shop Indiana County Soil Tester and the construction of Interstate 90. Fred wasnt a person who cared about recognition. He faithfully lovingly ministered in the local district and conference of the United Methodist Church for 37 years. He served The Lickingville Mt Zion Ashland and Emlenton Churches while attending and graduating from Clarion College. While going to Asbury Theological Seminary he served churches in Sugar Tree Ridge Sonners Chapel and Fairfax in Ohio. Carl was a graduate of the Indiana High School. He worked as a coal miner and later as a warehouse manager for S and T Bank. He was a member of UMWA 1412 Red Barn Sportsmans Club. He enjoyed watching dirt track racing at Blanket Hill Speedway and other local tracks. He especially like sitting under the canopy in his front yard watching the wildlife. Our beloved father Harry Windy Franklin Wingrove passed away on August 12 2026 at Indian Haven Nursing Home in Indiana Pennsylvania. Harry was born on July 27 1937 in Indiana the son of the late Frank Ted and Bertha Stuchell Wingrove. He lived his entire life in the Indiana area and graduated from Indiana Area High School in 1955. Harry was a loving husband and father to his beloved wife and children. He was a mechanic for most of his career working at Indiana Frame and Axle Service. Harry also worked parttime for Marion Center Bank after retirement. He enjoyed attending the many activities of his children grandchildren and great grandchildren. The daughter of Blair and Alta McMillen Wynkoop she was born December 8 1929 in Rayne Township. Doris was a devoted member of Marion Center Presbyterian Church where she faithfully served as a deacon for many years. She also worked alongside her dear friend Nancy Oberlin coordinating the churchs building fund dinners. Her faith was an important part of who she was and she made it a priority to instill her love of God in her family. She was an active member of her community and enjoyed being part of a bowling league a card club where she loved playing 500 Bid and a couples camping group. Charles L. Morgan lived a full and vibrant life completing his journey here on earth peacefully at home on Sunday August 16 2026 at the age of 91. The son of Julia Farran Morgan Vinosky and Stephan Vinosky he was born raised and a lifelong resident of Josephine. Charles was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Coral PA. He was employed at Torrance State Hospital and Westinghouse in Blairsville before enlisting in the Army reserves completing his training in Fort Knox Kentucky and assigned to Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. He returned from the service to find employment at Blairsville Machine Shop then took what would be his career job in the warehouse at Latrobe Steel from December 1961 until retiring in June of 1998.
