Born December 16 1937 he was the youngest of five sons born to the late John and Diamond Smith Abda. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Scranton before earning his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College Philadelphia in 1963. He completed residencies in general surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and the Veterans Administration Hospital Philadelphia where he was named Chief Surgical Resident before serving rotations in obstetrics and gynecology at Lower Bucks County Hospital and in pediatric surgery at Childrens Hospital Philadelphia. He was the first fulltime Emergency Department employed physician at Community Medical Center where he directed the implementation of the regions most advanced and successful emergency facility and was named director in 1977. Viola Bianca Linko 92 of Olyphant passed away on Saturday at the Allied Skilled Nursing Center. Her husband was the late Michael Mitch Linko Sr. who passed away in January 2022. Viola and Mitch would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary May 2026. Born in Jessup she was the daughter of the late Gregorio and Mary Setta Canevari. She attended Jessup High School. An avid softball player she played softball for Barbizon Dress Factory where they won several championships. Prior to retirement She worked mainly in the garment industry. She was a devout Catholic and loved the Lord. She loved to cook and prepare dinners for her family. Her favorite was making various homemade pasta spaghetti ravioli cappelletti and manicotti for the holidays. She loved to sew knit and crochet and was involved in the local PTAs cub scouts girl scouts and the Mid Valley Band Association. Mitch her children…
