Janice V. "Jan" Niederreither 82 of Manheim PA passed away on Monday afternoon March 30 2025 at United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz. Born in Detroit Michigan she was the daughter of the late Fred L. and Evelyn G Grant Cook. She was the wife of Wil R. Niederreither to whom she was married for 62 years on October 5. Jan enjoyed volunteering at the Red Cross Meals on Wheels and at her church. In her spare time she loved to read walk and to solve cross word puzzles. Most of all Jan enjoyed visiting 49 of the 50 United States with Wil an accomplishment completed mostly by car. She is survived by her four children Mike S. John began his career with the Columbia Police Dept. in the 1960s before joining Red Lion Borough Police Department in 1968 where he was named lieutenant in 1970 and promoted to Chief of Police in 1971. She was born in Maytown to the late Jacob and Ethel Shank Herr and was a lifelong resident of this area. Carol was a graduate of Donegal High School with the Class of 1962. She worked with Armstrong Ceiling and retired from Kelloggs. Carol enjoyed spending time with family doing crafts and day trips with her late husband.
