Gene E. Winters 89 of Windsor passed away on May 11 2026. He was born in Lancaster to the late Clifford and Charlotte Findlay Winters and was a lifelong resident of this area. Gene was a graduate of McCaskey High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force and Pennsylvania National Guard. Following his service he worked for many years with Caterpillar before owning the former Maple Crest Inn of Columbia. Gene was a past Master of Masonic Lodge 286 in Columbia Consistory of ASSR Harrisburg Zimbo Shrine Lancaster Lodge of Perfection ASSR past patron of Columbia Chapter 366 OES of Wrightsville past President of the Lancaster County Licensed Beverage Association and the Craftsman Club of Wrightsville. He was a craftsman who enjoyed leather work and carpentry. He was a history buff who loved war movies tv westerns and the Hallmark Channel. Gene was a devoted husband father…
