Born February 27 1938 in Hershey she was a daughter of the late Lester James and Iola Beatrice Snyder Kauffman. She was the widow of Richard C. Shaffer Sr. since December 2019 and also preceded in death by a son Bradley A. Shaffer in 2025 and siblings Constance Conrad Lester James Kauffman Jr. and Ronald Kauffman. Beverly was a member of First United Methodist Church Palmyra and along with her husband loved spending time at Indian River Inlet their favorite place in the world. Surviving are her son Richard C.
