Beverly A. Shaffer 88 formerly of Palmyra passed away Thursday July 16 2026 in Linden Village Lebanon. Born February 27 1938 in Hershey she was a daughter of the late Lester James and Iola Beatrice Snyder Kauffman. She was the widow of Richard C. Shaffer Sr. since December 2019 and also preceded in death by a son Bradley A. Shaffer in 2025 and siblings Constance Conrad Lester James Kauffman Jr. and Ronald Kauffman. Beverly was a member of First United Methodist Church Palmyra and along with her husband loved spending time at Indian River Inlet their favorite place in the world. Surviving are her son Richard C. Born May 11 1943 in Bloomsburg she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marjorie Gehringer Creasy and widow since April 2014 of Ronald W. Holdren after 50 years of marriage. Surviving are her children Marjorie Yohn Kevin Mark Holdren and Debbie Kruegergrandchildren Breven Smith Wesley Smith Alysha Krueger Shae Krueger Sarah Krueger Mitchell Holdren and Jacob Yohn andseveral great grandchildren. Those who knew him will remember his easy smile his outgoing nature and the way he made others feel welcome. Luke had many interests that reflected his vibrant spirit.
