Born in Jersey City New Jersey on May 14 1939 Carl was the son of the late Charles and Helen Thorn Carlson. Carl dedicated his professional life to education. He was a middle school teacher in Elizabeth New Jersey for 33 years retiring in 1994. Throughout his career he was committed to guiding and inspiring his students leaving a lasting impact on many young lives.
