Lorie A. HughesRehrig 59 of Emmaus passed away at home on May 14 2026. She was the beloved wife of Troy D. Rehrig with whom she shared more than 37 years of marriage. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Pearl Wagner Hughes. Lorie was a 1984 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School in New Tripoli. She worked in inside service support for Amazon in Breinigsville and previously served as a retail clerk for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board store in Schnecksville. She also worked parttime as a secretary in the administrative office of the Northwestern Lehigh School District. In addition to her husband Troy Lorie is survived by her sons Daniel R. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Raymond and Elsie Hinkle Smith. Gene played tenor sax for a popular local band in the 50s and 60s called the Royal Dukes. In the 80s his music career resumed with a German polka band called Edelweiss Kapelle and a variety band called Now and Then. Gene graduated from William Allen high school in 1956 then served his tool and die maker apprenticeship at Keystone Lamp winning apprentice of the year award.
