Born on February 1 1932 in Montgomery he was a son of the late Joseph Walter Shifflet and Annie Mae Martin Shifflet. Bill attended Hepburn Lycoming until his senior year and later graduated from Williamsport Area High School. His strong work ethic steady leadership and dependable nature showed throughout his entire life. He served his country honorably as a U.S. Navy veteran a role that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. Helen E. Miller 99 of Williamsport passed away peacefully Wednesday May 13 2026 at the Gatehouse. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Olive Thomas Masser and wife of Walter L. Miller who passed away on April 13 2015. The second oldest of 5 Helen was born March 22 1927. She grew up on the family farm in Elimsport attended a 1Room School in Elimsport and then Montgomery High School. During the depression her family moved to Newberry and she graduated from Williamsport High School Class of 1944. Shortly after marriage Helen moved back to Elimsport and later in life accompanied her husband to River Woods Senior Living in Lewisburg. Upon his passing Helen moved to Williamsport Home Apartments and in recent years Williamsport Home Personal Care. Born August 18 1933 in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late Clarence Sr. and Della Winter Raymond. Phyllis graduated in 1952 from Williamsport Area High School and retired from Shop Vac after many years of employment. Phyllis enjoyed camping especially with her children and grandchildren. Her family has many wonderful memories with her and their dad Paul whom she married August 6 1955. Phyllis also enjoyed cheering for her grandsons at James little league baseball games and Kevins Challenger events. She enjoyed game shows and puzzle books. She was born March 25 1948 in Easton MD and was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Louise T. Thomas Plotts. Sharon lived the first 11 years of her life in Easton and then moved to Williamsport in 1959. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1966 and then from the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in 1969 where she was the recipient of the Frances V. Costello Award for excellence in Orthopedic Nursing. Sharon worked in various departments at Susquehanna Health until she was selected to work in their inaugural Inpatient Oncology Unit. After several years she moved to outpatient oncology and finally retired from Heartland Hospice. Sharon loved animals and had several dogs during her life.…
