Dominic was born on October 10 1983 at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth VA the son of John D. and Joann P. Petruzzi. On September 6 2008 in Turtlepoint PA he married Julie R. Sunderland who survives. Dominic was a graduate of Smethport Area High School Class of 2002 and entered the U.S. Army that same year. He served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal the Army Achievement Medal and other campaign awards. Dominic had a deep reverence for the outdoors and was a skilled fly fisherman establishing his own business Streamer King Flies he made a career of tying flies fly fishing and sharing his knowledge.
