Frank R. Zaleski passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday afternoon March 31 2026 shortly after celebrating his 101st birthday. A man of immense resilience grit and a celebrated zest for life he left an indelible mark on his family and the communities he served. Born in Mattituck Long Island New York Frank was the son of the late Frank S. and Celica Romanowski Zaleski. His life was defined by early responsibility at just 15 years old as World War II was going on he left school to run the family farm. While his father worked at a local grocery store to help the family make ends meet Frank managed the agricultural operations during an era when potatoes sold for just 1.00 per 100 pounds. Ivan N. Weinhardt 88 of Tobyhanna passed away Sunday morning March 29 2026 at his home in Tobyhanna. Ivan was born in Dover Ohio on June 22 1937 a son of the late Albert M. Alma Gibler Weinhardt. Ivan enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country in the Vietnam War and after his honorable discharge he remained as an active Navy reserve. Ivans military career spanned more than 25 years. When he returned home from the Navy he obtained the position of electrician motorman for the New York City Transit New York and held that position for over 25 years until he retired.
