It is with profound sadness that the family of James Thomas Waites Jr. "Jim" announces his passing on August 5 2026 at the age of 71. Jim was raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia and was a proud member of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish community. He remained deeply connected to his roots throughout his life. Jim graduated from North Catholic High School for Boys with the Class of 1973 and he truly cherished the memories and friendships from his years there. Jim had a long and dedicated work history. He worked in production at Schmidts Brewery before later making holograms at American Bank Note Company. But some of the work that meant the most to Jim was the time he gave back to his community. He generously volunteered in his beloved parish and especially cherished the years he spent helping the students of St. Laurentius. A true…

Francis F. Kubach Jr. "Frank" passed away on August 12 2026 at the age of 85. He was born in Philadelphia on November 16 1940 to the late Francis F. Sr. and Claire nee Lamania and was a longtime resident of the Kensington section of the city. Frank was a coach and mentor at Front Street Gym for the last 20 years where he dedicated his life to helping neighborhood kids get off the streets and learn the sport of boxing. Due to his efforts he was inducted into the Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Fame. Francis was the beloved husband of the late Margaret nee Kearney. Devoted father of Francis P. Kubach.
