Dale Alan Shannon 70 passed away July 27 2026 at home. A lifelong resident of Stoystown he was born January 9 1956 son of the late Percy and Betty Barnhart Shannon. Survived by his children Katie Maggie and Evan Shannon and Laura Nick Costantino grandchildren Basil and Helena Costantino siblings Cliff Sheila Schreiber Shannon Faye Shannon Lon Kelly Shannon and Jeff Jamie Shannon former wife Marian ShannonFeather and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was a 1973 graduate of North Star High School and a 1977 graduate of University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church Stoystown. He worked as a longtime tax accountant for Three S Coal Co. Wessel Co. and private clients. In retirement he used knowledge gained from a shared hobby with his mother to found Stoystown China Glass an online storefront. He served his local community as a lifetime member…

H. David Martin 92 of Somerset died August 1 2026 at The Patriot. Born January 22 1934 in Johnstown son of Harvey and Sarah Reese Martin. Preceded in death by parents grandson Jeff Knepper and brothers Robert and James Martin. Survived by his wife of 35 years the former Kathy Rhodes children Paul Patti Martin Delana Bud Pritts Karen Gary Sleppy Kim Harry Landis Lisa Richard Hoyman and Gina Zeyad Lohr 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was a graduate of Westmont High School and retired manager of Penn Furniture. Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Bakersville where he was a former council president and a former member of Friedens Lutheran Church. He enjoyed reading western novels and camping.
