Dennis James Horta Jr. 57 of Pawtucket passed away peacefully at his home on or about June 26 2026. He was found on June 27 2026. Born on September 17 1968 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick Dennis was the beloved son of Sandra Ann Brackenwagen and Dennis James Horta Sr. Raised in Warwick Dennis graduated from Toll Gate High School in 1986 with high honors where he was enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program. His passion for nutrition and helping others led him to continue his education at the Community College of Rhode Island before earning his Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island in May of 1999. Dennis devoted his career to serving families through WIC at Thundermist Health Center where he worked his way up to become WIC NutritionistManager.
