Daniel T. Scanlon 86 of East Greenwich died peacefully at his home on Thursday October 8 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Deirdra Herrick Scanlon. Born in New York he was the son of the late John D. and Helen Donohue Scanlon. Daniel brought his family from the Bronx New York to Rhode Island in 1967 where he would build his forever home in East Greenwich and establish lasting roots with his family and community. Daniel was the founder and operator of Scanlon Enterprises a general contracting firm based in Warwick RI. As successful entrepreneur he took pride in his work and was known for his generous nature. Daniel was always available to lend a helping hand to family and friends and those who knew him could count on him when they needed support. An avid pilot Daniel found great joy in aviation and…
