Johnnie Mae Jackson Elmore affectionately known as "Scooter" by those who loved her departed this earthly life on Wednesday morning May 13 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love strength and grace. Born on December 10 1950 in Abbeville South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Lewis Jackson Sr. and Ida Bell Paul Jackson. Johnnie Mae began attending Shady Grove A.M.E. Church as a child and her faithful membership continued throughout her life. A proud 1970 graduate of J.S. Wright High School Johnnie Mae dedicated more than 45 years of service to the Abbeville Nursing Home. Throughout her long career she served in many capacities and ultimately became a Nursing Assistant Supervisor where she led guided and inspired others to serve with excellence and compassion.
