Ashley had lived in the CSRA and Ft Lauderdale, Florida all of his life. James had recently moved from the Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia following recent illness. He was a devoted follower of Christ and read his Bible daily.Jim was born on May 23, 1949 in Roanoke and lived in Botetourt County, Virginia. He had many jobs in his life including with Norfork & Western, Christian Broadcast Network, and several churches for audiovisual freelance work in Tidewater.
