
James "Jimmy" Flanigan

In 1943 Jimmy was born in Charleston South Carolina to his father the late James R. Flanigan Sr. and mother the late Fluorine Flanigan where he grew up until the age of 7 in 1951 his family moved to Williston SC. Jimmy had 2 sisters the late Trudy Flanigan Livingston and Bonnie Flanigan Holly Sam of Monroe North Carolina Before graduating from Williston Elko High School in 1961 Jimmy became one of the first Eagle Scouts in Williston SC. He played football at Williston Elko high school where he sustained a career ending knee injury and then became a great musician playing the drums under the direction of Dick Lindell. Music became his passion as he was to go on to play in several local bands. Michael Hughes

Michael Cooper Hughes 70 of Orangeburg South Carolina passed away on Saturday May 9 2026 at his home. Born on September 27 1955 in Bamberg County South Carolina he was the son of the late Rolfe Albert Hughes and Jacqueline Cooper Hughes and was married to the late Kathy Hughes. Michael was a dedicated electrician who worked in construction for many years. Michael enjoyed riding his motorcycle and especially loved spending time fishing. He treasured the simple joys of life. Survivors include his brother Charles Candy Hughes of Blackville South Carolina halfsister Jerry Miller of Hudson North Carolina and a host of numerous aunts uncles cousins extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Jr. Buddy Jones
, South Carolina
Born in Orangeburg County SC he was a son of the late Clarence Everette Jones Sr. and Julia Margaret Gunnells Jones. Buddy had a love and talent for music and could play almost any instrument in the band especially the guitar. He loved to go in his younger days and help set up equipment for bands that were coming near and even got to hang out with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Buddy enjoyed spending time at the beach time in the mountains and traveling with his good buddy Beetle. Survivors include his sister Chyrel Young of North Charleston SC his brother Charles Jones of Govan SC a niece Beth Wilson of Fort Mill SC a nephew Richie Brittany Wilson of Aiken SC and his greatniece Karmyn Wilson.
