of Hot Springs formerly of Wall South Dakota died on Friday May 15 2026 at the Veterans Home in Hot Springs at the age of 98 Lawrence Connelly was born December 19 1927 in Cottonwood South Dakota to John and Mae Fisher Connelly. He grew up in the Cottonwood area until moving to Quinn as a young child. Lawrence attended the Doud School and later the Quinn High School where he graduated in 1946. In 1947 Lawrence moved with his sister Florence to Sedro Wolley Washington to visit their sister Ann and her husband Loren Cloakey. Lawrence went to work for Skadgit Steel Iron Works building Loggin Donkeys. After leaving ironworking he went to work at Northern State Hospital as an attendant until enlisting in the United States Air Force. of Philip South Dakota died on Friday May 15 2026 at Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 89 George Edward Ervin Ainslie was born to Charles and Reland Carson Ainslie on July 201936 at Wanblee South Dakota the fifth of eight children. George attended country school near Wanblee and then moved with his parents to Kadoka where he then went to school starting in 2nd grade. George worked several jobs during the summers and after school ended. He enlisted into the US Army in April 1957. George was united in marriage to Kay Stephenson on May 22 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Philip. He was deployed to Korea in June of that year. He was honorably discharged in April 1960.
