Norene Ann Beck Goettsch was born October 11 1944 in LeMars IA to Kenneth and Irene Casper Beck. She was raised in Hinton IA graduating from Hinton High School in 1962. She was married to James Edward Ed Goettsch on May 23 1964. Norene met Ed on a blind date arranged by mutual friends. To this union two children were born. She received her Registered Nursing degree in 1977 from Western Iowa Tech. She and her family loved to travel. Her most favored trip was to Israel but many fond memories were made on family road trips. Norene loved to bake. She was well known for her fabulous cinnamon rolls.
