Mildred Elizabeth Prater Powell passed away peacefully on Friday February 14 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 94. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Sam W. Powell mother Leatha Lorance Youngblood her father Whitelaw Prater and her grandparents Walter and Ella Jane McMahan Lorance. Mildred is survived by her devoted son Sammy N. Powell Yuki her daughter Carol Powell Bennett and soninlaw Pete Bennett. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Samuel Powell Ginny Bennett and Peter Powell Bennett Chris Dana Bennett Jennifer Van Huff and a cherished greatgrandmother to Reese and Chloe Kyle Lauren Bennett Kaleigh Elizabeth Bennett. Mildred was the sunshine of her family our love and our blessing every single day. Connie Jean Phelps Brown 76 passed away at her home in Woodbury Saturday February 14 2026. Born in Coffee Co. she was the daughter of the late Brady and Mary Blackman Phelps. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Norman Ray Brown who passed away August 24 2025. She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Davis of Manchester and Jennifer Sam Morris of Woodbury grandchildren Dalton Keragan Morris of Morrison Emily Morris Nick Phillips of Woodbury Trent Jones of Murfreesboro and Trey Jones of Manchester sisters Shirley Stan Littlefield of Altamont Springs FL. and Susie McEacharn of Manchester and uncle Clarence Phelps of Manchester. 5 great grandchildren also survive.
