Georgie Cripps age 95 of Alexandria passed away at her residence Monday April 1 2026. She was born September 30 1930 to her parents the late Herbert and Vada Hayes Hendrixson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas "Tom" Cripps sisters Brownie Jean Curtis and Mattie Jo McGinnis. Ms. Georgie lived a selfless life loving the Lord and serving others. She was a lifelong member of Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church and was homemaker. She is survived by her daughter Tammye Gary Whitaker of Lebanon grandchildren Matthew Lindsey Whitaker of Carthage and Tyler Rebecca Whitaker of Lebanon five greatgrandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday April 4 2026 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Robertson and Ben Johnson officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
