Mr. Cody Hill 36 of Sale Creek Tennessee passed away unexpectedly at Rhea Medical Center on Sunday October 11 2026. A lifelong resident of the area Cody attended Corvin Road Baptist Church where he shared his faith with others. Known affectionately as a big teddy bear by his family and friends Cody had a loving heart and a gentle spirit that touched those around him. He was a kind and lovable man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. His warm personality caring nature and love for others made him truly special to all who knew him. Cody enjoyed life to the fullest and especially loved spending time playing video games. He will be remembered for his sweet nature his genuine kindness and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. Doug Gates

, Tennessee

Doug was of the Baptist faith and attended Dallas Bay Baptist Church. He was a simple man who found joy in the things that mattered most especially spending time with his family. He loved fishing tinkering with things and building with his hands. Doug was happiest when he was working on a project or making memories with the people he loved. He will be remembered for his love of family and the special memories he leaves behind. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Linda Britt Gates his mother Martha Gates his stepmother Kelly Gates his children Michael Gates Piper Christopher Gates Sally Brittany Gates Sarah Britt and Trent Britt and his 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters several nieces and nephews and many other family members who will miss him dearly.
