Geneva Brown Lloyd age 86 of the Cherry Fork Community in Helenwood TN passed away on July 3 2026 at her home. Born in Scott County on January 5 1940 she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy Sexton Brown. Geneva retired as a schoolteacher serving as a school pathologist for Oneida Special School District for 16 years. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and a masters degree from Tennessee Technology University. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Lloyd of Helenwood son Rick Lloyd daughterinlaw Brenda Lloyd both from Nashville TN sister Virginia and James Smith grandparents William Bill and Rebecca York Brown and Jasper and Nellie Jeffers Sexton. Geneva was a longtime member of the Capital Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She is survived by her son Steve Lloyd…
