Nedra Owens Redditt was born on March 25, 1957, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Anson Owens and Mary Dean Owens. She was baptized at an early age and joined Mt. Pisgah CME Church in the historic Orange Mound community. Nedra was a proud graduate of the Melrose High School Class of 1975, before continuing her education at State Tech, where she earned a degree in Industrial Engineering.Nedra began her professional career at Memphis Light, Gas, and Water, serving as an Energy Advisor in New Construction. Even in the early stages of her career, she demonstrated a passion for service, education, and community empowerment that would become the foundation of her life's work.Driven by a passion for housing equity and economic empowerment, Nedra earned her Tennessee Real Estate License in 1985.
