Janet B. Maloney was born on June 2 1938 in Chicago Illinois to the late John J. Maloney and the late Kathleen Cody Maloney. She was their only child. Janet passed away peacefully on August 16 2026 in Memphis Tennessee. Ja The Maloney family loved their parties and my folks Tom and Doris were no exception. We grew up with LOTS of gatherings filled with Maloneys Rings and Bains all my dads cousins including Janet. I remember Janet telling stories about her years as a lead nurse at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and the intense trauma cases she encountered especially on busy weekends. She spoke about caring for people who came through the doors with terrible wounds often at the worst moments of their lives. As a kid listening to those stories I thought Janet was heroic.
