Mrs. Janice Elwanda Howell Frazier better known as Wanda age 86 of Sparta passed away on Valentines Day February 14 2026 in the Emergency Room of Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Wanda was born April 12 1939 in Sparta Tennessee to the late Maston Asco and Ada Magalene Howard "Adith" Howell. Wanda was passionate about caring for many types of animals such as birds cats dogs fish and the occasional orphaned squirrels rabbits and deer that made their presence known in the time of need. She loved sewing gardening reading magazines finding trinkets and raising all the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She will be fondly remembered for always having something sweet stashed in her purse a coke nearby and GBN on television. Wanda was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
