Kellene Hope Owen Baird lovingly known to so many as Big Momma was born in Sinton Texas September 18 1958 to Kelly Alfonso Owen and Mary June Mayfield. She grew up in Portland Texas where she began a life that would be filled with family friendship hard work creativity and countless memories. In the summer of 1981 Kellene married Bill Rosebud Baird. Together Kellene and Rosebud owned and operated multiple bars and nightclubs throughout Corpus Christi and Beeville Texas for over 40 years. Among the most wellknown were Partners Nightclub and 19th Hole Patio and Cantina. Through the years Kellene came to know countless people many of whom became more like family than patrons. She especially enjoyed sitting down for a game of poker at the club with her many regulars sharing cards conversation laughter and probably a story or two along the way. Candice Lee Gerbracht of Bedias Texas was born in Utica New York on December 21947 to Janet and Frederick Bird and died July 30 2026 in Beeville Texas surrounded by family. Candice started her law enforcement career as a dispatcher then became a police officer in Louisiana. She retired from law enforcement after the death of her son Billy and began working with special needs children while living in Florida. In 2003 Candice moved to Texas. She came out of retirement by working as a Jailer and later the Kitchen Supervisor in the Grimes County Jail. During her tenure working at the Sheriffs Office Candice was loved and respected by inmates and officers alike being awarded jailer of the year and touching countless lives. Born October 29 1934 in El Campo Texas Norman would often recall times of living and working on the Mach family farm as a child near El Campo. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa Japan during the Korean War. Returning to Texas after his military service he began working for Union Oil. He later became an Oil and Gas Technology Instructor at Bee County College. Norman was a Jesus loving active member of the First United Methodist Church in Beeville Texas. He earned his bachelors degree from Texas AM University and had served in the United States Army. He was retired as a permit surveyor in the oil and gas industry.
