Alfred Murrell Wise Jr.

1932 to Alfred Wise Sr. and Grace Whitefield Wise in Vinton Iowa. After graduating from Freeport High School he joined the Army in 1953 serving in G2 Intelligence while stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He married Katherine Dirzanowski on February 25 1956 and together they shared 70 wonderful years together. Alfred enjoyed hunting fishing and traveling with his friends and family. He was known for his decades of service to the community through B.A.C.H. the Fraternal Order of the Eagles the Brazosport Transportation Club the B52 Club and serving as Commissioner of the Port of Freeport for 18 years. He is survived by his wife Kathy his sons Wayne Keith Robin Kurt Dinaya his greatgranddaughter Kya as well as his grandsons Tony Taylor Jared Drew Uriah and Isaiah and his greatgrandchildren Ciera Devon and Emmie. Gary Dean Gatton of Brazoria passed away on October 9 2026 at Country Care Village with his family pastor at his side. Gary was born on April 24 1940 to Rosemary Helen Knoblett Gatton and Earl Virgil Gatton in Crawford County Illinois. He grew up in Crawford County Illinois where his father was an oil field worker and Gary learned to work hard by his father. He attended school in Oil Center Illinois until the middle of the llth grade when his dad was transferred by the oil company to Carlisle Texas to work for the Texas Company. He graduated as Valedictorian from Carlisle High School in 1968. After high school graduation he received his certificate from Kilgore Jr. College 19581960.
