Barbara Kay Walker, age 77, of Bangs, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2026. Barbara's wishes were to celebrate her life surrounded by family in her final days. No funeral services will be held.Barbara was born on August 12, 1949 in Santa Anna to Millie Ruth and Joseph Martin Robbins. She left high school to run away and marry the love of her life, Melvin Walker in 1966. They were told it wouldn't last. They celebrated 60 years together on October 5, 2026. Barbara worked for Kohler in Brownwood for 17 years, and numerous years at Brookesmith and Bangs ISD. She enjoyed sewing fishing, camping, and cooking.
