Born on December 18 1949 in San Antonio Texas to Sulema Medellin Garcia and Miguel H. Flores Roger lived a life defined by courage service and deep devotion to those he loved. A proud Vietnam War veteran and Purple Heart recipient he served with honor on the front lines as part of the Airborne Division and later in the National Guard as a Military Police Officer during his distinguished 27 year military career. Following his service Roger continued his commitment to others through 30 years of civil service beginning at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio and retiring from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City Oklahoma. Yet beyond all his accomplishments Rogers greatest pride was his family.
